The Sanctuary, a haven of peace and serenity, located inside the hotel, is a 600 square metre space dedicated to treatments for the body and mind. One of the 9 treatment rooms is located in the tropical gardens, overlooking the lagoon, offering massages and treatment in a soft seaside breeze. The Sanctuary is innovative and offers complete programs based on the clients' individual needs.

An exclusive Spa Concept created by "La Prairie"

For several years, the distinguished Swiss cosmetic brand La Prairie has been enhancing its experience in anti-ageing techniques to encompass well-being, with the opening of The Art of Beauty centres in world-famous luxury hotels. The refined elegance of the Residence Mauritius has now been selected to inaugurate this concept in the Indian Ocean region.

Through its beauty-care concept La Prairie has developed a method, using the exceptional performance of their products, to enhance serenity and alleviate stress. The well-known "power of touch" is used for each La Prairie treatment, combining different techniques ranging from French effleurage and Japanese Shiatsu to acupressure on relaxation points. The La Prairie treatment ritual begins with a shoulder and back massage making the body and mind receptive and creating total relaxation.

Created for those who desire luxury and effective results The Sanctuary also offers three caviar treatments for the face and body. These treatments are specifically designed to nourish, to firm and to hydrate the skin.

To complement the face treatments, The Sanctuary has introduced the "Ytsara" method to expand its body-care program.

Ytsara, which means "freedom" in Thai, brings together the knowledge of ethno-biologists and aromatherapy. This new holistic method of well-being and beauty was inspired by centuries old therapeutic virtues of Asian remedies and techniques.
